Mindfulness Travels provides educational retreats to inspiring places throughout the world with leaders in the field of mindfulness and mindful movement.We have been teaching mindfulness and leading international retreats for two decades. We offer mindfulness meditation instruction, continuing education for health professionals, and mindful movement classes, including Tai Chi, Qigong, and/or Yoga. Our retreats integrate experiential education, cultural explorations, and connection with the beauty of nature, providing you with very comfortable and beautiful accommodations that are sure to please you.

Mindfulness Travels goes beyond the standard tourist path. Our goal is to respectfully connect with the people and the culture wherever our travels take us. We make lifelong friends along the way and enjoy everything we possibly can about those we meet, including: music, art, culture, spiritual practices, and the tasty delights of the region’s cuisine.

Mindfulness Travelssupports you to move outside of the familiar by expanding your openness to foreign cultures without the overlay of personal judgments. We encourage our fellow travelers to relax into the unfamiliar and enjoy a sense of community that many people around the world share joyfully and without pretense. We can learn to be a good friend and offer kindness to those we meet in our travels. We embrace, honor, and celebrate this philosophy on all of our retreats.

We view mindfulness as being more than calming and centering the mind, and value the ethical component of living a mindful life, which involves cultivating skillful thoughts, speech, and actions while exercising restraint from engaging in unskillful behaviors.

Linda Cammarata, RN, RYTis a Registered Nurse and Registered Yoga Teacher.Linda is the founder and director of Mindfulness Travels, LLC. She has extensive experience in healthcare management and in preventive medicine education, with a specialty inNatural Sleep Recovery. Linda has designed and presented wellness programs at the world renowned Golden Door Spa in Southern California, and at Chiva Som in Thailand. She teaches mindfulness, yoga, and qigong. Her teaching spans over 30 years of experience in healthcare, integrating traditional and complementary health practices. She has received numerous yoga trainings and a certification with Nischala Joy Devi,Yoga for the Heart. Linda is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Linda completed a comprehensive 3-year certification program in Energy Medicine. She has also received training in Integrative Sleep Education, Aromatherapy, Healing Touch, Reflexology, Qigong, and is a meditation teacher. National women’s health conferences, private industry, yoga teacher training programs, as well as several medical programs have utilized Linda’s wellness programs. Linda has shared her work in the US as well as abroad. Her latest DVD,Support and Strengthen Your Immune System, is published byIDEA. Linda is also a professional singer-songwriter and recording artist.

Larry Cammarata, Ph.D.is a clinical psychologist specializing in mindfulness-based psychotherapy and mind-body medicine. Larry has practiced psychology for over 30 years and has expertise in the areas of mind-body medicine, clinical hypnosis, stress management, interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, mindfulness, and issues of midlife.Larryis a published author who was designated as an "Author-Expert" byIDEAfor his writing, teaching, and service in the field of mind-body health, fitness, and wellness.Along with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Dan Siegel, and other leaders in the field of mindfulness-oriented psychology and education, Larry is a co-author of a book entitled,A Year of Living Mindfully: 52 Quotes & Weekly Mindfulness Practices. Heis a professional speaker and workshop presenter who has made contributions to local, national, and international retreats and conferences.His work on mindful movement was presented at the 11th Annual International Scientific Conference of theCenter for Mindfulnessat the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.In recent years, he has provided training to health professionals in Asheville, NC, San Diego, CA, Santa Fe, NM, La Jolla, CA, Costa Rica, Provence, France, Spain, Sicily, New Zealand, Italy, and Bali, Indonesia.In addition to his involvement in the profession of psychology, Larry is an instructor ofTai Chi Chuan and Qigong. He is also a professional musician and performance artist who has performed locally, nationally, and internationally.
