MINDFULNESS-BASED COACHING AND EDUCATION
with Larry Cammarata, Ph.D.
With nearly 40 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, I’ve worked with individuals and couples navigating a wide range of challenges, including relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, stress, chronic illness, pain, and sleep difficulties. My professional approach is present-centered and integrates diverse methods, with a strong foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This evidence-based approach blends mindfulness, acceptance, and a focus on personal values with practical strategies for behavioral change. Currently, I offer online mindfulness-based coaching, which is skills-focused and oriented toward growth and well-being. While not a substitute for psychotherapy, coaching is suited for those seeking to cultivate greater presence, clarity, resilience, and satisfaction in daily life.
In addition to coaching services, I provide mindfulness-based educational consultations to individuals, groups, and organizations. Instruction is available in mindfulness and self-compassion meditation, relaxation techniques, stress management, and mindful movement practices. My background also includes extensive training in the mind-body practices of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong—both in China and the U.S.—which I incorporate into mindful movement instruction.
I currently serve as the Director of Education for Mindfulness Travels and the Director of Training for the East Bay Mindfulness Center. Recognized as an “Author-Expert” by IDEA for my work in mind-body health and wellness, my teachings have been presented at professional conferences, including the 11th Annual International Scientific Conference at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. Along with renowned mindfulness teachers Jack Kornfield, Daniel Siegel, Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg, Sylvia Boorstein, and others, I made a contribution to the book A Year of Living Mindfully: 52 Quotes & Weekly Mindfulness Practices (edited by Richard Fields, Ph.D.).
