TIME

Our Tai Chi class meets weekly on Thursdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of class.

LOCATION

The location is at the Academia de Dança ALMA (Alma Academy of Dance) in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. When you turn into the location (near the BIG GOLF BALL at the Campo de Golf Axis), you will enter the parking lot of a big black building. Park in front of the building. As you face the building, walk around to the left on the green astroturf to go behind the building to access the movement space.

DONATION ONLY

A minimum donation of 5 Euros per class is requested. I am not receiving any payment for these classes; donations will be used for the maintenance of the space. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds, and some folks may wish to contribute more, and some less.

CLASS DETAILS

I will be teaching the Tai Chi 24 (AKA “24 Step Simplified Yang Style Taijiquan”), which is primarily based upon the Traditional Yang Style Long Form, and is regarded as the most popular and widely practiced form in the world. The movements are slow, soft, and expansive. This form cultivates relaxation, balance, strength, flexibility, and mind-body awareness. The class is appropriate for beginners and those with previous Tai Chi experience. Please wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your breathing or movement. Flat-soled shoes are recommended. We will move together in the spirit of play, curiosity, and joy!

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS

Please send me an email prior to your first class to confirm your attendance is in alignment with the current class schedule.
